Scout Camp 2012 - Le Polle

Parent's day has now been and gone but the Scouts and Guides are still up there for another 5 days. The journey was not one of the best - good because Robert was driving but we had been given crappy directions so is it any wonder I had us on the wrong road?? Anyway, we got there - Leo is having a great time (despite having left his voice somewhere) and while the location wasn't as pretty as some of the places we have been they all seem to be having a great time and I guess that's what counts - not even having to sleep on horse poo or get up at 4 in the morning for certain 'missions' has put a damper on anything. This year the parents had to cook for the kids on parent's day ( Robert was quite pleased about that - he has a thing about eating food prepared by grubby kids - don't understand it myself but hey ho) which is why in the photos below you can see us grown ups ( all in our own little patrols) chopping, cooking and....washing up - what a nightmare - but all good fun. The day as usual ended with mass.....we only had a very small area but we all managed to fit in - just about. And then it was time for us to leave.....but he'll be home soon - with bags of filthy washing and no voice - the way it should be.

  1. So many lose voices on camp. There should be a voice box for them to keep them in :)
